Greetings from Texas! This week was fun! We did a lot of contacting English people! We had a lot of lesson and met some interesting people. We had another lesson with Joshua and Kay. Joshua really is the smartest investigator ive ever had. He knows the doctrine and guess what? It sticks! I mean it doesn’t hurt that his parents are both return missionaries. And that Joshua loves to read books and the most of his books that he likes to read are church books.
The English elders had given us two referrals or two people that are interested in learning more about the gospel. We met someone named Martin, but he wasn’t that interested in what we had to teach him. Then we contacted another woman name Blanca. She has two adornable twins! We taught her about the Book of Mormon and the foundation of Jesus Christ’s church. And she is very open about her opinion. She said that she went to a previous church but she doesn’t want to come back because its too far, despite the fact that they bought her family food. She was very greatful but didn’t think this was the church for her. So we set up a return appointment and taught her about prophets and basically a full lesson one about The Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ. And we invited her to come to church and to listen to General Conference and to listen to the words of the Prophet and his 12 apostles.
Remember the Esclante Family? Remember how they were ready to get baptized but the mom need to get a divorce? She hasn’t gotten that divorce yet, but they haven’t been coming to church. The family knows that this is the true church, but they gotten jobs! They work on Sundays now! So, we asked her to pray and fast to find another job. Or even ask for Sundays off! So we finally got an appointment with them to teach them tonight!
Oh yah! We set a baptismal date with a 16 year old Boy name Dennis. His mom is name Clara. Clara absolutely loves me because I’m Native American. She has never seen a Native American before until she met me. We were kinda running late so they were like Hna Beetso Clara loves you so you call her and tell her that we are running late. So we explained that the Church of Jesus Christ is reestablish once again, though a modern day prophet. And she asked us if her baptism wasn’t validated because she was baptized in another church. And we basically told her no. she looked like she was going to cry! But she didn’t. I was very happy that she didn’t cry because that’s never fun. And we told her that she needs to read and pray about it. And by the end of the lesson she was like I feel goose bumbs! Then we were like that’s the Holy Ghost. I don’t think she quite understand what that means. And we invited them to a baptism that was being held the next day. And surprising they came! But they were an hour late. So we just gave them a tour around the building, and again she felt goosebumbs! Ah! If she just understand that the Holy Ghost is telling her that what we are telling her is true, she would get baptized!!
Well I love you all, the computer is telling me I have 2 mins left. So I love you all and I miss you.
