Hi everyone! Remember how I was saying that I no longer have to eat Rice and Beans? Well, I left McKinney Texas and now I am back in Carrollton, Texas! So this is what happened, Sister Wald had to leave. She went home because basically she needs to get her Gallbladder taken out. So, I couldn’t be a solo sister, so I got a phone call Tuesday night which said that I’m going back to Carrollton, Texas! I was way excited because I was going back to do Spanish work. So Tuesday came and I got to Carrollton, Texas with my new two companions. Hna Finnell and Hna Brooksby! Then about two hours later we get a call from the Assistance from the President saying that the English sisters, who are incharge of Dallas 6th Ward are leaving and going to McKinney, Texas! And that we are now over Spanish AND English work. Hahaha. So we have twice as much work than normal. But In conclusion, the Lord trust us to complete his work. I mean we felt like we were running around like chickens with our heads cut off!
Honesty, the 1st day was a big blank, we stop by a lot of people homes and apartments but we didn’t see many people. But we have a new investigator name Margarita. She is the sister of a branch member, and we taught her the plan of salvation. She was bored because she knows everything. Plus, she is from Columbia, just visiting her family. She wants to come back and stay here, because she doesn’t like it in Columbia!
Thurday came and Hna Finnell wasn’t feeling well so we dropped her off at a senior couple missionary home and Hna Brooksby and I went out! We saw a recent convernt name Alex (who is 24) who step daughter name Jasmine(who is 14). Jasmine is amazing she is eating everything up about the gospel. She wants to go to Especially for Youth (A BYU thing…) and Soar! :D go SOAR! But Alex’s wife is name Roserio who is not a member…yet. Before we left we testified to Roserio that we were baptized when we were 8 years old. And when we were 8 years old we didn’t know much. But what we knew is that The Book of Mormon is the word of God. We are children of our Heavenly Father and the Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet of God. Roserio was kinda in shock about the little knowledge that we had about the church. But then again, we were 8, we knew that we didn’t have to understand everything that was going on. But we had a testimony about what is important.
So, Friday came around. Friday was BUSY BUSY BUSY! We saw a lady name Rosie who is basically afraid of what her family would say about her joining our church. Rosie family is very traditional in being catholic. So I told her about my family, but our traditional are a little different than being catholic! But I just explained to her that my family wasn’t always Mormon and there was a change! And because my family members knew that this is the only true church, she wants to be baptized!!! Plus, she absolutely loves me because Im Native America! I totally have an advantage over another people because im brown. Or they think I’m Asian. Hahaha.
Then we contacted a media referral. Her name is Kay and she has a son name Joshua. I cant say much about this family but in conclusion she wants her son to be baptized. And she wants us to start teaching him the lesson. So we are excited about that. Oh yah Joshua is 8 years old.
Guess what happened?! Ricardo got baptized! Sister Finnell and I went to Grand Prairie, Tx and we saw Ricardo baptized!!!!!!!! Yah never tought that would ever happen!
Then we went to a Chilie Cook off. I tried a chill that was so hot that I felt it for 2 days. It was not agreeing with my stomach. Blah! So yah even the person who made it wouldn’t even try it!
Oh yah, most important, we had a baptism yesterday. His name is Edber, he is the step son of Alex. It was fun and quick, now we have to start working on Rosio so that family can be sealed in the temple!!!
