Sun&Turkey= No Energy

Hi everyone!
How are we doing this week! This week started off like a bang, we were knocking doors and this man yelled and said I'm in the bathroom. So we didn’t think of anything like that, so we left and went to the next house. We knocked a few houses then we were done knocking that street and then we were going to the car; then all of a sudden we see this naked man we a towel covering a certain part. And he was MAD! I mean red face, screaming out his door mad. But he didn’t know it was us but it took him a while to open that door. Hahaha. So, on Tuesday we were studying and we got a referral for a Book of Mormon, so we made plans to visist this man, then we started driving down that street and we saw that house! Then my companion and I totally freaked out because last transfer we contacted this man who was extremely drunk. So we were talking to this young woman who was outside and we were telling her that we are missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days Saints, and she said this isn’t a good time. Then the man yelled in Spanish, My heart is filled with anger and I never want to hear fromt hem. He didn’t know that we spoke Spanish and we understood what he was saying, so she was like just leave. So we left but gave him a pass along card. And apparently he called that number and he told us he doesn’t remember where he got that card but hew knew he had to call it! So I have a strong testimony that pass along cards do work. P.S. we didn’t want to tell him that we have it to him when he was “filled with anger”.
We went by the “cult” house to find the man we were looking for and he just pulled up in his car, so we went and talk to him and he said that we could met with him on Friday, then we got back into out car and it looked like the man we were contacting had to do a secret knock and the person inside made sure we left before he opened the door. Lets just say that we probably aren’t going to go back to that house. We are teaching this young man who is about 28 or some where around that age, and we went back and taught him about the 5 steps and we asked him afterwards, so what do you feel about the Book of Mormon, and he told us he doesn’t need to pray about the Book of Mormon because he knows that it is true, but he wont come to church because his church is teaching him how to play instruments; since he likes music we invited him to a special musical even that a ward was having. So we took him and it was amazing! He loved it! I think that is something he need to go to because the sprit was so strong. So we have an appointment to see him this week and hopefully, we can set another baptismal date! I’m way excited! And commit him to go to church!!!
This week while we were tracking we found a woman, and we told her that are missionaries from the LDS church and she was like I know someone that is name Steve and he is mormon. Then I was like from New Mexico and she was like yah! Ironically enough we probably know the same Steve, so she let us in and we started to talk to her Steve, and how he is mormon. So if we didn’t have that common ground, she wouldn’t have let us in or even talk about our religion. So we talked about what we believe in and she believes that there is a prophet on the earth today. But she believes it is the Pope, an d that he receives direct revelation from God. And I just wanted to say you know your wrong, because the official stands from the Catholics is that they don’t believe that the Heavens are open and people don’t get revelation. But we told her about Joseph Smith and told her to pray about it. And she was very receptive to the Book of Mormon, but I don’t know how open she is to hearing from the missionaries. That was my week! I hope that all yall have a great week!
Love Always,
Hermana Annie Beetso
