Good Morning Everyone! I am still in Grand Prairie, Texas, I have a random comment, yesterday i found my 1st zit on my ear! Now lets see what happened this week. This week we met with a man name Maueal and he was taught in the pass but know we are teaching him. We were in the area and we decide to stop by and we taught him, but he had so many questions about the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Manuel has over 20 Bibles in his home, he is probably one of the smartest people I have ever ment, and he really is an awesome person, but he scares me. If you know me, you know people don’t scare me but he does, I mean he isn’t scary looking but he just speaks his mind a lot and isn’t afraid to say no. so we watched the Restoration with him then he invted us back for another lesson and we taught him about the Book of Mormon and the imporce of reading the Book of Mormon. He knows that he needs to be baptized but he isn’t taking this step lightly but he knows that he needs to pray to God to see if this is the right step.
This week we got too met with Daniel and we dropped him…this means we are going to visit him anymore unless he comes to church or calls us. we knew it was about time for us to stop visiting him because he doesn’t come to church, he hasn’t read in a while and he wont pray. The thing is he knows that the Book of Mormon is true, he just says that we are talking about the word of God and that’s good, but isn’t willing to change. He told us that he won’t come to church because the other churches are teaching him how to play an instrument. Blah. We got to visit with Lorena, she just got back from Oklahoma, because she spent about 3 or 4 weeks visiting her boyfriend. So, we saw her and we asked her about her marriage but she still needs more time because her boyfriend lives in OK and he is rarely at home, so we really need to follow up on that and get her and her boyfriend married so that she can get baptized.
Yesterday, we were visiting Norma Vazquez and we were leaving her house then all of a sudden two former invstigators were walking in front of her house. The two former investigators live nowhere where we were at. Then I was like HEY! How are you two doing and they asked us why haven’t we stopped by their house, and we told them we did. We passed by and left sickey notes saying hey when you have a chance give us a call or come to church Sunday because we are always their on Sundays. So they told us they miss us because when we come a visit them they had a good day, and since we stop visitng them they aren’t having such great days. So we told him that we are going to come and visit them only if Luis, the uncle isn’t drunk. We told him we are going to randomly stop by and teach them and they said that was great! So im excited for that! That really is truly a miracle, but they need to do something so they can help themselves.
Well, everyone I love you and I hope that you have a great day!
Quote of the Week:
Last week we had the opportunity to go to the Temple and we got a ride from a member. We were dropping off the member’s child, and this was her 1st time going to drop off her son but Sister Davy was giving her direction but it ended up not being the right direction.
Member: Hermana Davy you are suppose to have the gift of Discernment
because you are a missionary. Where is your Liahonna?
Hermana Davy: I don’t know!
Hermana Beetso: Her Liahonna is talking in Spanish and she doesn’t understand Spanish so she can understand her Liahonna!
