Dear Everyone!
Hi! How are we doing in this last week of April? I know that we are super excited because we are running out of miles and can’t wait for April to be over because we get more miles! So we have been trying to walk every where but that hasn’t been happening! So let’s just see how it goes! The joys of being a sister missionary, cars and no bikes, then again, it would be a little be weird seeing a woman riding a bike with a skirt on.
Well this week was FUN!!! Joshua got baptized and I talked about prayer and then we sang a song. I felt bad because the missionaries were like doing the whole program. The only thing we didn’t do was say the opening or closing prayer. Then again, Joshua wanted us to talk and Kay basically made us sing her song. Lets just say that I had the power of God with us because I do not know how to sing on key but for that song I did!
This week I we got to teach Maria and Salvador. The story with Maria and Salvador is that they ran up to the English Elders and told them that they wanted to learn more about our church! So we went over to their apartment complex and stared to teach them. They want to learn more but we can only met with Maria because Salvador is at work or going to work. And plus they have been having some family problems with their 14 year old teenager. But they seem so promising but they aren’t willing to come to church, but then again we don’t have that
many miles to go up and see them. So we had been trying to find rides to see them. So hopefully, we can make another trip up to their house. We also met with Ethan! Ethan is like my favorite person in the whole wide world. Ethan is realizing that he could be wrong. We were going over the Plan of Salvation and telling him that we are all children of God. And he didn’t get that concept. He said if it mentions it in the Old Testament that it means something else. So we asked him how bout the New Testament, and we read Romans 8:16 that says The Spirit itself
beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God” then we asked him so what dose that mean. Then he said that means im wrong! We only taught about the Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ and some part of the Plan of Salvation. It doesn’t seem like we taught much but Ethan has made a lot of progress since the 1st time he wanted to Bible Bash with us. He has been coming to church but not this past week because he “slept in.” AKA he was parting too much the night before. So our plans are to go over the Word of Wisdom. Oh Fernando came to church! And we set a baptismal date with him for the 8th of May. But he wasn’t too sure about the date because of his wife, his wife wouldn’t care or she would have a fit. But then again Fernando hasn’t been happy with his marriage, but we can’t say anything because it isn’t our place to say. But then we got a call back saying that he will be baptized on the 8th of May. So we are excited!!!
We met with Hector and Janet. We had a good lesson with them and tried to set a date with them but they need to pray about it specifically. We had another appointment to met with them but Hector had an allergic attack, so he was at the hospital. I think that’s pretty important that they get that fix than to meet with us. So we are probably going call them today or tomorrow to see how they are doing with their prayers.
Well another week has ended! Im still looking forwards to the letters you love to send sister missionaries!
Love Always,
Hermana Annie Beetso
Quote of the Week:
Hna. Finnell: Last night I had a dream about dating. Is that weird?
Hna. Beetso: Of course that is weird. It is weird dreaming about dating, a normal dream is when you dream about people getting infected with a deadly virus that could kill the whole world.
