New Week

Hi everyone!

This week was so much fun! Do you all want to know why? I slept for three days! I got sick! Blah! But ateast my companions didn’t get sick! So that’s always good, and the work did continue despite the fact I couldn’t go out and work.

This week we met with Fernando and he deicide that he doesn’t want to become Mormon. He has a lot of doubts, more than we realized. For example, he still wants to pray to the Saints and Maria. We told him to pray to God and God will give him his answers about who has the right church. He told us that he prayed to God and God told him that it was ok to pray to Maria and Saints. BLAH! I think it is the fact he knows that once he joins the church he has to quick smoking and drinking. He doesn’t understand how much his life would be so much better! Do you remember Carmen, the one that said the Apostasy is beautiful? Yah he is the male version of Carmen. So, we are probably not going to visit with Fernando anymore, unless he wants to get baptized!!! Fernando doesn’t believe that children should not be baptized because they are angels! and they have no sin. But he said that he was baptized and he doesn’t need to get rebaptized…yah..we went over Moroni Chapter 9 and explained that it is anabomination to God if you baptize young children under the age of accountability! I was a little blunt and told him he need to be baptized with the correct authority. He just doesn’t get it…maybe one day

Speaking of Carmen, Carmen and her family wants to get baptized! It only took them about 8 months to understand that we are the only true church! She wants to get baptized!! Hna.Martin, Hna. Finnell, and I were in shock when we heard the news that she wants to get baptized!!!! So, we might be returning to Grand Prairie to watch her and her family gets baptized!!!

We also met with Ethan and we watched Finding Faith in Christ. Ethan response was that was bad filming! We were ready to beat him down because he totally did not get the point of the movie!!! He is still trying to get over Who is God and that God can’t have a perfect body. And I was trying to explain the Scientific Way. I was trying to us Star Wars but that didn’t quite work out. *Side Note* you can totally tie Star Wars into the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I guess my high school seminary teacher really did rub off on me. But we are going to try to have a lesson about who is God and he is a loving person. Today we had a study with Elder Moowala, an elder on a service mission at the bishop store house. And this is what we read in Isaisah 29: 13-14

13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

Yah those two verses remind of Ethan. But we are going to have Elder Moolawa come and have a lesson with Ethan. Because Elder Moolawa is like the smartest person I’ve ever met. I swear he knows everything about the Gospel…that is important to our Eternal Salvation. If not, since Elder Moolawa is about 6 3 and Tongan, Elder Moolawa can just break Ethan in half! Haha. Not really J
