Hello everyone!! How are we doing this week? My week was good, nothing really new to report but I will be staying in Grand Priarie, Texas for another 6 weeks!
This week we started teaching this family and the father doesn't believe in God, he knows that there is a God but he doesn’t know if really is their and if he really helps out the people. Plus, he knows that there is a Jesus Christ but why is Jesus Christ so important. So we just went over to his house trying to explain that there is a God and that he plays an important role to us, and next time we are going to explain why Jesus Christ is so important and why we need a Savior of the World.
We also found a woman name Julieta we weren’t able to find her for the past 2 weeks because she has been depressed because her husband like the company of other woman. But she is still living with her husband and Julieta really want her husband to change and we just keep on bearing testimony that the gospel does change families but we must respect other people’s agency and not force them to do anything they don’t want too. So, she has been reading and always praying but she doesn’t know what else to do, and we told her that she needs to come to church. She told us that she isn’t going to make any promises but I know she will in time.
We got to meet with Louis Vazquez, the husband of a family that was baptized about a month ago. And we found out Louis Vazquez doesn’t like missionaries! Hmm…I wonder why…since we are always telling him that he needs to pray and go to church. My companion and I were talking and its probably because he is feeling too much pressure from us and from his wife. His wife loves him but she want to be an eternal family so bad that she is pushing her husband. Because she knows the faster he gets baptized the soon they can be sealed to a family. So its not helping that he knows the reason why we are there is to see him but we are trying to let the accelerator go for a while and let him chill.
