Hi everyone! How are we doing this week!?i I am going to reach my 1year mark this Thursday! How scary!!!! well, you know when you been out is when you don't remember like any words in you 1st language...my is Navajo...hahaha
My was great because I got to do some service for a member in the branch, we got to pick weeds. I would have to say that was the 1st time I ever did that in my entire life.. I guess that I means I'm going to have to do that when I get home…if we had grass!! Or we can just tell the elders if the need service hours we can pull the weeds out of our house!
Oh yah Iris got baptized! She is so happy and that she knows that she is in the right path to return back to our heavenly father and I'm so excited!!!!
Then we stopped by a investigators house and we found out that she is moving to Mexico because she found out that her husband is cheating on her, despite the fact that she has a friend that stays over at her house sometimes. So, we are going to send her information to the mission office and then the missionaries in Mexico can go and find her.
This week, we were able to meet with our family that has a baptismal date, family...ish... a mom and her two kids. her other kids cant get baptized because they aren't 8 yet, and her husband is being shaddy, because he hasn’t listen to us, and what we have to say. He is in his own mind, but the wife wants him to join because she wants to be with her family forever. This week we wanted to set a date with her mother in law wants to get baptized but she is living with another man, that isn't her husband. So we are going to see if we can some how get them married and then get them both baptized! I'm so happy that I finally
found a family because usually I've only baptized single males and one young girl. So this is a good change for me.
Then last night we met with Michelle who is 23 years old and she is a teacher. She lives with her parents and her younger bother who is 19. we had dinner with her family and lets just say that I was in pain because I ate so much! But anyways, I feel like they are going to progress but it is going to take time, and I mean a lot of time. Its because that family doesn’t want to be pressured into anything, but they know that they need to make a change in their lives. We started to watch a Special Witness of Christ and what we saw of it was amazing! And they both loved it, Michelle and her mom, and we just got to see what happened with them. Eh…
Well other than that…nothing really is new. Oh yah we got contacted by a group of Christen churches…. They need to work on their contacts because the 1st thing they said was, do you have time for Christ…. We were like yah sure we have time, do you want to listen to what we have to say…lets just say they weren’t open to what we had to say but we nice and listen to them. So other than that nothing is new.
