¡Felices Fiestas!

HI everyone!
How was everyone’s Thanksgiving? Mine was great! The people in this area love sister missionaries because Hermana Richardson and I got invited to at least 4 Thanksgiving dinners. It was sad that we had to decline most of them because we had to do some missionary work. We ended up going to two Thanksgiving dinners. One was with an English Family, they are the Batemans. I was afraid that I was going to eat some werid food because Traditional Hispanics don’t celebrate Thanksgiving. Hermana Richardson was saying how last year she ate Turkey, but everything else wasn’t traditional American Thanksgiving Food. So, since we ate with an English Family, we didn’t have anything funny to eat. But the only thing that was missing was frybread. But oh well.
Then we went to the Spanish Branch’s Thanksigivng dinner. Not many people came but one of our investigators came with her 6 year old daughter. Chelli came! I was so excited! She got to meet the ward members and interact with them. She really enjoyed herself! And her daughter was shy at first but then she started to play games with the other kids! I think that Chelli loves our church! She said she would come to church this past Sunday. (More on that a little later).
This week was hard, we didn’t get to see as many people as we usually do because I got sick. The mission president’s wife had to tell me I have a cold. So, I said I have a TON of Faith that I would get better, but I wasn’t willing to take medicine or sleep. Finally, we took one day off…kinda. And I slept and I felt like 99% better than I did. So being sick kinda took its told. I heard that Hermana Sholete, another sister missionary, would not stop to take a break. Sister Smith (the mission president wife) said she probably had the swine flu, but it was really just a really bad Cold. So Hermana Richardson kinda made me sleep and take medicine so it would get so bad.
So, this week was really slow because 1. I was sick, 2. Thanksgiving holidays. No one was home or they didn’t want to meet with us because they had family over. BLAH!!!
On Saturday night, we got invited to a wedding! It is one of the Elders’ investigators who got married. They have three children together, the wife is a member but the husband isn’t. So they got married the he got baptized, yesterday! So that means in one year, they can get married in the Temple! (HINT MOM AND DAD). So that’s pretty exciting!
So my Sunday, it was probably the worst Sunday on the mission. Jo didn’t come to church or Cheill! I was so disappointed! We saw Jo three hours before church and he said that he was coming! AH!!! I can’t believe he didn’t come! We were expecting him; I hope that some REAL emergency came up. So that just means Hermana Richardson and I am going to stand on his door step, again, so that he will come to church. Next time I see Jo I am going to “Slap Him Holy” And that’s the say way with Cheill!!!! But I wont slap her Holy. AH!!
Well, I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday weekend!!!
Love Always,
Hermana Tiana Beetso

Quote of the Week:|
Sister Beetso: "Do you know if Brother Kerr do you have to work on Black Friday at WalMart?
Sister Richardson: "He does have to work but in the afternoon. He doesnt have to be apart of the maddness."
Brother Kerr: "Since this area is more rich, they tend to be more humane."
